All photos in this category were taken with a Lomo LC-A, a Soviet-era camera. Over-saturated colors, off-kilter exposure, and blurring are common, and commonly cause “happy accidents.” Another characteristic of photos taken with this camera—or “lomographs”—is a under-exposure around the center of the image, often forming a dark vignette around the subject.
The film used varies, but it’s always cheap. The black and white photos were taken with Kodak Professional BW400CN. This film is meant to be developed through normal (and much more common) color processing, the foundation of one-hour photo shops. Although not as crisp as regular black and whites, the photos have a slight green tint.
The color film is the cheapest available, usually the store-brand: Walmart, Walgreens, etc. Most of these photos were developed at Walmart.
